Mosquitoes come in thousands of species, and many of them feed on human and animal blood. They can carry and spread sometimes fatal diseases like West Nile virus, malaria, and dengue fever, making them one of the most dangerous animals in the world. With the exception of Antarctica, all continents are home to mosquitoes.
