European Starling

There's a bird that seems to be everywhere. It's likely that you'll spot a starling if you go outside and observe the surroundings. These birds were brought to the United States and have since spread throughout the country, much to the detriment of many other species. This medium-sized forager has spiky yellow bill and beautifully detailed black feathers with an oily sheen. It is frequently seen in large flocks in the winter and fall. They frequently make metallic or squeaky calls.
