It's extremely difficult to confuse a Blue Jay for anything else, much like a cardinal. The Blue Jay is one of the most striking and noisy birds of the year, and it is a distinctive bird that is seen all year round in the eastern United States. They thrive in suburban habitats as well, even though they are native to the forest. They are frequently unfairly—or, okay, fairly—branded as feeder bullies. Its striking pattern of black, white, and blue on the wings makes it easy to identify at a glance, even with its bright coloring and crest.
